Vendor and Artist Focused Event Arrives in Time For Holiday Shopping

As a thank you to the many attendees, vendors and artists of this summer’s Stockton-Con, another new event – Stockton Holiday Mini-Con will be held at the Alex G. Spanos Center at University of the Pacific on Sunday, December 16. Admission is $2, $1 with a donation of canned food, clothing or a toy. Proceeds from the event will again benefit St. Mary’s Dining Room and the United Way. Tickets will be sold at the event, beginning at 9am.

The event will focus solely on vendors and artists, with over 40 vendors and artists expected to be in attendance. It will differ from the larger summer event, with a lot less space being used in the Spanos Center and few less vendors and artists.

“We wanted to do something for our artists, vendors and attendees,” said Mike Millerick, director of Stockton-Con. “There will be a lot of unique items and artists commissions that can help holiday shopping. It will not be as large as our summer event and won’t have as many activities, but it should still be a fun day.”

A silent auction will also benefit St. Mary’s Dining Room and the United Way will take place from 10am-2pm. There also will be numerous vendors offering collectible comic books, original and reprinted drawings, models, movie and television memorabilia, and toys.
