Take care when searching for jobs online | Business
There are a lot of people out there looking for jobs. After more than 15 years as a stay-at-home mom, my wife, with some consternation, joined the throng. Being an Internet-savvy individual, she started as many of us would: Google searches. She searched for specific job titles and was rewarded by a large number of hits, almost all of them job and recruitment websites promising a dizzying array of potential positions.
Full of hope, she began following links. Many of them lead to specific companies with posted positions, all of which required she apply online. Other sites required uploading a resume or filling out generic online applications to collect information for prospective employers.
