Health Plan of San Joaquin Expands into Stanislaus County | Business
HPSJ, one of the leading providers of managed care services in San Joaquin County, has opened offices in Stanislaus County, hiring approximately 25 new staff.
"Our focus has broadened regionally in order to ease the transition of the Healthy Families program into Medi-Cal," says Shani Richards, Community and Legislative Affairs Liaison.
Richards say HPSJ submitted a bid to supply services to the County and was awarded the contract this fall.
Health Plan of San Joaquin, with nearly 200 employees, is a local health plan located in the heart of the Central Valley. It provides access to high quality cost-effective health care to over 115,000 people - serving families in San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Merced Counties.
Healthy Families is a low cost insurance plan for children and teens that offers members health, dental and vision coverage. Healthy Families is available for families who do not qualify for no-cost Medi-Cal.
Many working families in San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Merced Counties are eligible for Healthy Families. Eligibility is based on family size and income. Health Plan of San Joaquin members have access to quality medical care and most area hospitals.
