Stockton, Brink of Disaster / Pinnacle of Greatness?

Depending on who you speak to our city of Stockton is either on the "Brink of disaster" or "The Pinnicale of Greatness."  Well, ultimately one does not happen without the other so I say both.  Lasting change never comes without hard work and sometimes horrible circumstances.  The most beautiful garden never started out that way. In fact mine tend to start with dirt, weeds and a fair amount of cow manure.  In time, with effort, things take shape. I am still waiting for my personal "Stockton Beautiful" award for my front yard, but I know it will get there and I will be proud.

Vote for your MAMA (Stockton well represented)

Vote for your MAMA (Stockton well represented)

I am quite suprised and a little humbled to be nominated again this year for Rock Promoter in the Modesto Area Muisc Awards, more so to also have The Plea for Peace Center nominated for Venue. I am quite pleased to see so many other locals and events nominated and I encourage you all to take a moment to vote for all of them.

The hard part is chosing in the Metal Category where 3 Stockton bands are nominated Bloodpig, California Medication and Symbolik(you can only choose one.) Last year there were 9 nominees from Stockton this year up to 13 in 10 categories. This year is the first year that a venue(Plea for Peace) and Large Event(Asparagus Festival) from Stockton are in the running.

It is quick and easy to Vote and would be great to have some positive light shined on our fair city. Voting runs until October 21st at Midnight.
