Stockton-San Joaquin Lions Club Shows Community Spear-it!

Last Friday, Stockton-San Joaquin Lions Club President Norma Espinoza and 2nd Vice Jennifer Boylan presented a deep fryer to Community Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired's Case Manager Sarah Bennett and CCBVI volunteer Eric Law.  The deep fryer was purchased for CCBVI from the proceeds of the Stockton-San Joaquin Lions Club's Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner, held March 9 at the Center.

Ron Valverde, another San Joaquin  Lion on staff at CCBVI, knew that the blind center was badly in need of a new deep fryer, and suggested that his club make this purchase to help CCBVI in time for  the Center's annual corn dog, chili cheese nachos & fries booth at the Asparagus Festival.
