STOCKTON, CA - An Edison High School student pulled over a few blocks from the school Saturday night for driving with his headlights off led school police to quite a marijuana stash.

Not only did the 17 year old not have a driver's license, said Stockton Unified School District Police Chief Jim West, but officers noted a strong smell of marijuana.

Upon questioning the teen, West said officers suspected he had marijuana at his home. When they went to the home, the teen's parents gave permission to search, West said. What officers found was 20 pounds of pot in a locked shed in the backyard, they reported.

West said the teen admitted selling the marijuana at Edison. His father denied knowing that.

Officers also recovered an illegal, homemade medical marijuana card the father had, West added.

It wasn't clear what charges the teen and his father might face.
