Woman attacked outside her Stockton apartment complex | Crime

STOCKTON, CA - A woman was punched and beaten with her own walking stick Tuesday morning.

The 64-year-old woman was standing outside her apartment complex on the 700 block of North Edison Street around 6 a.m. when the suspect walked up to her and started swearing at her for unknown reasons, Stockton police said.

The suspect then punched the woman, knocking her to the ground. The suspect then took the woman's walking stick, hit her with it and then fled from the scene.

Police said the victim was treated for minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic woman in her 30s, 5'1" tall, heavy set with straight long brown hair. She was last seen wearing a pink top and jeans.
