2 apprehended in Stockton street murder | Crime

STOCKTON, CA - Two 18 year olds have been arrested in the fatal shooting of a man in a downtown Stockton intersection Tuesday.

Randal Valdivia was shot in the area of Sutter Street and Washington Street. He was transported to a nearby hospital but emergency doctors pronounced him dead a short time later.

No one else was hurt in the gunfire.

Thursday, Stockton police gang enforcement detectives and U.S. marshals apprehended Angel Baca and Steven Baca for Valdivia's murder, said Det. Joseph Silva.

Investigators believe the murder was gang-related. Both Bacas are documented gang members and Valdivia had gang ties, Silva said.

Angel Baca and Steven Baca were booked into custody at San Joaquin County Jail on homicide and gang charges.
