STOCKTON, CA - The Stockton police department's dragnet effort appears to be paying dividends after a man was arrested for attempted murder.
According to a Stockton Police Department news release, 23-year-old Jesus Marez was arrested in connection with shooting an ice cream vendor in March.

According to previous stories on News10.net an ice cream truck vendor was robbed and shot on Gareth Circle back on March 25. Marez was arrested for being involved in that attack.
Friday afternoon Stockton police brought in several allied agencies to deal with the city's growing crime problem. Hundreds of uniformed officers saturated city streets looking for people with outstanding warrants and other law breakers.
During that saturation the city reported another homicide when a man was stabbed to death on East Worth Street.
