On Thursday, March 14th, at 6:00 p.m., the M.K. Troke Branch Library presents Don O'Brien's Multicultural Music from Around the World.

Celebrate the cultural diversity of musical instruments played around the world in this show designed for all ages! Continue the learning by checking out books, reviewing online databases, and searching the Internet * all for free at your local public library!

This free program is provided through the generosity of the Stockton Friends of the  Library.  The M.K. Troke Branch Library Library is a part of the Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library and is located at

Boys and Girls Clubs focus on youth, celebrate 50 years

The Boys and Girls Club of Lodi and its counterpart in Stockton for the past five decades have followed the national nonprofit organization’s mission – “To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.”

The two local clubs, each celebrating a golden anniversary, are among more than 4,000 clubs nationwide. Their centers offer safe and affordable places for youth to gather during non-school hours.
