It's crazy what some cleaning, clearing out of boxes and simply rearrangement of furniture will do.

When I first started working, I was immediately excited about my office space. I had exposed brick, a large room and new desk. So all I really had to do was move my furniture around so my back was no longer facing the door and I wasn't looking at a wall.

Of course I added some personal touches, like wall art, brown baskets and photographs of the fam.

STOCKTON - This past weekend the San Joaquin County Home & Garden Show came to the Sherwood Mall in Stockton. New and exciting additions to the show, the Interior Design and Floral Design competitions had local designers creating and displaying their works for industry professionals and show attendees to vote on.

The interior design competition featured three local designers. Taking the gold award and the show favorite was Norman Valdez @ The Gallery. Valdez used complementing colors of orange, tan and black and different textures including concrete to create an elegant and interesting living room.

The silver award went to Joseph Osborne and Bill Schoenleber of Jobi Dime Design.
