1 killed in multi-car pileup on Hwy 26 in Stockton | News

STOCKTON, Calif. - Highway26 was closed in both directions near Kastell Road for nearly three hours Tuesday morning following a fatal car crash involving four vehicles.

Officer Rich Wetzel of the California Highway Patrol said officers were dispatched to the crash around 5:24 a.m.  Officers discovered two cars, a pickup truck and a semi truck involved.

One of the individuals pinned as a result of the wreck was pronounced deceased a short while later, said Wetzel.

No information was provided on the condition of other involved individuals.

Highway 26 was reopened as of 8:24 a.m., per Wetzel.
