Stockton, CA - At 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, Mayor-elect Anthony Silva is honored to be sworn in by none other than the Honorable Willie Brown, Jr.

Honorable Willie Lewis Brown, Jr. is an American icon of the Democratic Party. He served over 30 years in the California State Assembly, spending 15 years as its Speaker, and afterward served as the 41st two-time Mayor of San Francisco.

The Honorable Willie Brown firmly believes Mayor-elect Anthony Silva will fight for this city and its residents.

All residents are welcome to witness the Honorable Willie Brown swear-in Mayor-elect Anthony Silva this Tuesday, January 8th.

The City of Stockton is currently accepting applications for four (4) Planning Commission appointments for City Council Districts: 2, 4, 6 and at-large.  The Councilmembers-elect for these districts and the Mayor will make the nomination for full Council consideration in January. The deadline for applications is Thursday, January 3, 2013, at 5:00 p.m.

The Planning Commission is made up of seven (7) members, each member nominated by the Councilmember representing the district they represent; the Mayor nominates an at-large candidate.  All applicants must reside in the same district as the appointing Councilmember, with the exception of the Mayor’s appointee.  Applicants must not hold any other elected position or position of employment with the City of Stockton.
